Using this site
By using The Espresso Reportyou agree to these terms. If you don't, that's entirely fine — please don't use the site.
What our content is, and isn't
Everything here is editorial opinion and research, published in good faith. It is not professional advice, and it is not a guarantee about any product.
Specifically, and this matters:
- We have not tested these machines. As of launch we have not used a single one of them. Every product page says so, and our ownership tablelists exactly what we have and haven't used. Our verdicts are reasoning from published specifications, current prices, and what owners publicly report — not from a laboratory.
- Specifications come from manufacturersand are linked on every page. Manufacturers change specifications, revise models, and sometimes publish figures that contradict their own other figures (we've documented several cases). We report what they publish; we can't guarantee they're right.
- Prices are live from Amazon's API and change constantly. The price you see at Amazon's checkout is the price that applies — never the one you saw here. If our price data is stale we stop showing a number at all, but no price on this site is a guarantee or an offer.
Affiliate relationships
We earn commission on qualifying purchases through Amazon. The Espresso Report is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. Every earning link is labelled paid link next to the link itself. The full explanation, including what commission does not buy, is on the affiliate disclosure page.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is." We work hard to be accurate — that is the entire premise of the site — but we do not warrant that everything here is complete, current, or error-free. We commit instead to something we can actually deliver: if you tell us we're wrong and you're right, we fix it within 48 hours and note the correction on the page. That's our editorial policy.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Type 5 Marketing LLCis not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from a purchasing decision you make based on it. Espresso machines are appliances that heat water under pressure: read the manufacturer's manual, follow their safety instructions, and don't treat anything on this site as a substitute for either.
Links to other sites
We link to manufacturers, retailers and communities. We don't control those sites and we're not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the far end of it.
Intellectual property
The writing, research, page structure and original analysis on this site belong to Type 5 Marketing LLC. Product photography is served from Amazon's content network under the Amazon Associates programme, and product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners — Breville, De'Longhi, Gaggia, Rancilio, Baratza, Eureka, 1Zpresso, Timemore and others. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.
Quote us, cite us, argue with us — link back and we're delighted. Don't republish our pages wholesale.
