Is it actually not heating?

If water runs genuinely hot and the machine is simply slow to feel ready at the group, that is often normal warm-up behaviour, not a fault. Check power and reset first

Tripped thermal fuse or thermostat
If power is fine, the mode is right, and a descale has not helped, you are moving into the internal heating circuit, and the usual suspects are the safety and control parts that sit between the power and the element.
